The Victorian Country championships are a main feature in the atletics calendar and this year were held at Bendigo's - Latrobe University Athletics Complex.

This year Gippsland Athletics were represented by three athletes who took the opportunity to test themselves against some strong competitors from around the state.

Congratulations go out to Isabella Lia - U/18 women, Fiona Saltmarsh - masters women and Aaron Saltmarsh-Milne - U/16 men for making the effort to travel to Bendigo for the three day event.

All three athletes had some good results, the standouts being Isabella's win in the High Jump and Aaron throwing possibly a PB in discus at 32.03m.
